Clea McCaa II

Colonel (R) Clea McCaa II was born on March 31, 1966 to the late SGM (R) Clea O. and Julia V. McCaa. COL (R) McCaa retired from the U.S. Army in 2019 and his previous assignments include Brigade Commander, ARE DET 3 (Joint) Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Brigade Commander of ARE DET 6 EUCOM (Joint) Fort Meade Maryland. Commander of Detachment 7, CENTCOM Army Reserve Element in Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado; Operations Officer for TRADOC Capability Manager – Sensor Processing, Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Operations/Biometrics Officer for TRADOC Capability Manager – Biometrics and Forensics, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He has been assigned to the 8 th Battalion of the 40 th Armor Regiment, located at Fort Huachuca Arizona, the 208 th Transportation Company located in Tucson, Arizona, and the 257 th Transportation Company. In October of 2001 he mobilized with DET 1, 309 th MI BN and served as the Detachment Commander, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Upon completion of a 12-month mobilization and deployment, he was by-name selected to be re-mobilized with the 304 th MI BN and serve as the Chief of the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course. Subsequently he was assigned to the 5 th MI Battalion and served as S3, Battalion Executive Officer and Battalion Commander. Colonel (R) McCaa retired in 2019 with 30 years of service. Colonel (R) McCaa earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University. He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Management.

In the civilian sector, Colonel (R) McCaa is employed with 3D Management & Consulting, LLC as the Chief Operations Officers overseeing contracts with GSA, USA Intelligence Center of Excellence, U.S. Forestry Service, Arizona Department of Public Safety and multiple contracts with Veterans Administration. Colonel (R) McCaa is the Senior Pastor of the Sierra Vista 1 st Church of God in Christ and also, he serves as the Chaplain for the Sierra Vista Police Department. COL (R) McCaa also serves as the Buena High School Football Team Chaplain and field photographer.

Colonel (R) McCaa is also the President for the Greater Huachuca Area National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Colonel (R) McCaa is the Founder and President of the Sierra Vista Dream Center where they provide after-school tutoring and food boxes to the Sierra Vista/ Fort Huachuca community and back pack lunches to Carmichael, Coronado, Valley View and Palominas Elementary Schools. Sierra Vista Dream Center also provides daily independent living classes to help young adults develop the skills they need to lead happy, successful, and independent lives as they shift into adulthood.

COL (R) McCaa is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and he has been married to his soulmate, Ramona McCaa for 24 years. From this union produced two children, Clea “Trae” McCaa III and Marie McCaa.
